Caught this on Fox News.

There are holes everywhere on the C7 to let air in and out. Most you can see. There's one you can't see though. It's behind the rear fascia and called the Active Hatch Vent.

It has electronically-controlled louvers that open when you lift the hatch. It turns out that the hatch is so large that it acts like a spinnaker sail, catching a huge amount of air and creating a lot of resistance when you try to shut it. Instead, the vent relieves that air pressure to reduce effort, closing again only after the hatch is latched.

I'm sure that won't be the last surprising thing we hear about the C7. Wonder why they just didn't have that feature that VW uses where the windows automatically go down enough to relieve the pressure, then go back up again?

Might let the rain in!

True, but if you just had the hatch open, I imagine rain would already have got in.
