I have a '92 Vette with J55 brakes and am continually pulling the caliper past the guide pin located on the bottom of the pads when Autocrossing. I have replaced the pin and am currently running Porterfield pads. Anyone else run into this problem? Would going back to OE pads help? Any advice is welcome, thanks in advance.

I figured it out, the caliper mounting bracket was worn. Replaced that and went back to OE brake material and all is well.

Do you have an idea what caused it to wear, seems lke a non wear item?
