I painted my calipers red about a year ago and for a while I was able to wash the brake dust off when I would wash the car, then I had to start using Simple Green and a toothbrush to clean them! Now theres absolutely nothing I can do to get it off so I'am going to have to repaint them! What do you do to get the dust off and keep it off?:confused

JRose, Try a good paste polish and elbow grease. I think the dust will come off if it hasn't somehow reacted with the paint and embedded into the paint itself. As far as keeping the calipers from getting dusty, it just doesn't happen. The only way I know is to keep a good coat of regular car wax/polish on them and make sure you keep them clean be frequent washing; something you probably have to do quite often living in OK. I lived in Ft. Smith, AR for 4 years and can/t believe how much cleaner the car has been since moving to FL. I think there is much more dust in the air through the west due to wind. I do miss the open ranges though and not having the traffic that we have in Florida. Good luck.
