I have my car at final finish in branford ct and I have the problem like most of us have with newer aerobody kits CLEAR LENSES... But not to worry Dave at final finish has a dye for the lenses and they look great . Are you getting this Kevin because Dave said you really wanted the amber lenses. Well now it is possible I saw a lense tinted on friday and it looked as close as you could get to the original amber . Well if we meet on feb 21 I will pick up the color sample and bring it up to callaway when we meet. See you all soon.

SWEEEEET!!

Pete - thats really good news!!! I have heard from more than a few, that they wanted an amber lens

Any other good news from your visit?? :beer

For a minute I was starting to think your good luck streak had run out. I hadn't called Dave about the amber lens yet since I'm trying to conserve money in my current situation. Being able to dye the clear ones sounds great. I assume I'd just have to pop mine off to have that done and it shouldn't be too expensive?

I do have one amber one. The left one if I remember correctly. I was hoping to just pick up a right one. I guess not! Did Dave say why he had to retract his previous statement about them being available again?

I have the clear lens on my '95, which I think is appropriate for post=B2K Callaways.

Can you purchase the clear lens from Dave @ Final Finish, or do you have to get it through Callaway? I have a slight mark on one lens and would like to replace....

Dave

You have to get the lense from callaway They can still get them . The post was in regard to people with clear lenses that wanted amber and could not get them because the do not make them any more.Dave has a dye that he uses on the lenses to make them amber like the original aerobody kits.

Of course none of this makes any sense...

The only reason these lenses are manufactured in the first place is because Callaway orders them from an undisclosed company. It's up to them to specify whether that company should use white plastic or amber plastic when the lenses are molded. Why don't they just get a batch of amber lenses? I'm sure the cost is the same and the selling price is many times the manufacturing cost anyway. It's quite clear that there are B2K cars in need of the amber lenses as replacements. It gets back to the whole discussion we had at Carlisle last year about ongoing support for these cars. Where is it?

Interestingly this last weekend there was a Vette show nearby and there was a yellow 95 ZR-1 with a Callaway Aerobody and Nitrous. It didn't seem the motor was Callaway modified but I didn't find the owner.

Anyways, it had clear side blinker lenses.

I didn't make it as the clutch is a dead puppy once again!...

-back to the garage whenever I get the time!

Oh the joys of all this power !....

Dunno!...

Last time my mechanic bought it from Callaway...
I believe it was a centerforce but I don't really know.

Recommendations anyone!...

Luigi

BTW...

I did make the show in my trushworthy Jag XKR :s

I just didn't make it in the Callaway :cry

At least it should be in great shape for Carlisle!....

To Trailer or not to Trailer. I hope that will be the only question.

Jet setting transporter

Somebody probably bought him a plane ticket.. So he could drive their car for them. I know he offered that option to people if they really needed their car transported. LOL

Pete, let me know if you need your car driven down from N.Y. for Carlisle this summer. I'd be more than happy to help out! ;)
