Fellow Owners and Enthusiasts - I have some VERY EXCITING NEWS that I am certain you will ALL appreciate.

This afternoon, after about a year of off & on discussion, the National Corvette Museum (NCM) responded favorably towards putting together a display case for Callaway Automobilia, etc.

If you have ever been to the NCM, you may have seen the four or five glass cases as you transition from the tour hall, into the Mobil-1 Spire - they house various Corvette memorabilia and such - we have been offered space in one, to kick-off the celebration of Callaway Cars 20th year of Corvette Heritage and Performance :cool

I ask that if you have someting unique, that might be suitable to display in this case, to consider loaning it to the museum for this display. (**One of-a-kind items are not suggested - possibly a COPY of the original)

It is my hope, that we can have this display unveiled by the NCM's Labor Day B-Day bash in September.

So, what do you think??

If you have any questions about this, or to suggest items for display, please drop me a note - as your point of contact for this display.

Thanks :beer Chris

...it is perfect timing for a
display of Callaway memorabilia, as 2007 will be the 20th Anniversary of
the introduction of the Callaway. The case we will have open is
approximately 68" long and 42" high.

Chris, THAT'S AWESOME! In regard to items obviously lets go direct. I'm sure Callaway has photo's galore. Duplicate emblems for nose, cooler and dash. Course a spare rams horn or turbo would be appropriate! Statistic poster. What else am I missing guys?

Kruzmisl, Callaway Cars is definately aware and on board with us :cool Over the coming weeks, they will look over some stuff and see what might be fitting for this :cool
Funny about the turbo(s) for the display, Callaway4Fun was mentioned as the one who might have to donate that :L
Great ideas! All of them! :beer

Shopview, are you considering loaning a car for display?? That is actually part of the considerations for "Phase II," scheduled for 4th q. 2006, into 2007 - please let me know :beer

Great news Chris - keep up the great work!!

I have both Callaway catalogs , the 1988 brochure, the runflat brochure the C12 press kit and an aerobody portfolio.

plus the project C1 turbo kit for VW but that hat nothing to do with Corvette.

let me know when you need some of that for the display, I will be glad to participate.

THEY ALLREADY CONTACTED ME ON DISPLAYING THE CALLAWAY.I SENT ALL THE PICTURES AND PAPER WORK BACK TO THEM ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO.
HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM YET.

Jeroen, Is your stuff your only copy??

If it is, we may want to include a high qality copy, rather than an original - Thanks :cool

Steve, very cool - I am sure you will hear something in the coming month or two :cool

I may have an extra Turbo around here that they could use. Provided they can guarantee that I get it back as I sent it. I also have other pieces that I can send also.Wonderbar oilpump (first Design) ect.
