Hi Guys

Here is copy of the thread i started at the corvette forum.

*I've got a set of Callaway Dymags on my vette, and was thinking about selling them. I have 2 reasons for this, 1 is i live in South Africa, and they arn't readily available if 1 gets damaged and i don't think there is anyone who can repair them, 2nd i can't get them made wider at the back to put 315's etc on. Does anyone have any idea's on what price i should ask for them, and any comments on whether i should sell them or not

. I'm sort of stuck somewhere in between. They have no marks on them, and would probly need a respray as i changed them to black.

Many Thx*

What i would ideally like to do is swop them for a set of normal Dymags with 11" rears. The only thing which my rims need is a respray, which i will be willing to do here. Anybody interested? Here is a link to the pictures of them.

Here is a picture of the rims on my car, not great quality but does the job.

The pics I saw the rims ave curb rash and they are painted black you will not get very much for them as they need a good amount of work.

No they don't have curb rash, what happend was the previous owner had them reprayed silver, but not very well. The silver paint started to lift on the edges and we had a couple of shows to go to. I didn't have time to send the rims in to get them done and my car was my daily driver. So i just sprayed the rims black, so to finally get to a point, what u can see in the photo on the edges is where the silver paint is lifting under the black. But like i said, i can get the rims re-done "properly" here. It cost about R150 a rim which is +/- $25each. There is no physical damage on the rims whatsoever

Ok, i have made up my mind, I am going to sell the rims for $4000. I'm sure i'm going to regret this afterwards . I know in the pictures it looks like there are marks on the rims, i can assure you there rims are spotless, just a result of a bad spray job. I can have the rims resprayed silver over here if the purchaser likes. Anyone who is interested can mail me @ resdrw@icon.co.za or treasurer@corvette.co.za

Good luck with that....honestly Im pretty sure you'll be keeping them a while.

I don't mind, i don't really want to sell them, so either way is ok

It appears that you are looking to make a killing on these wheels. I think you will be holding on to these for some time . If you went to half of what you are asking you might get a buyer but $4k is out of the question.Good Luck

If you expect to get top dollar for these you should get them restored. If they were perfect with equally nice center caps and new tires you might get your asking price or close to it.

top dollar

what is top dollar price for NOS quality dymags??

scott

If they are brand new and still in the box, about 1k each.
