OWN 2 1988 CORVETTES-BASE MODEL & CALLAWAY TT
Hello from the other Callaways:

We still talk about our wonderful experiences with you guys at Carlisle 2002 and look forward to one of the Callaway events in 2007.

The reason for posting this thread is that I received for Christmas the new Mike Mueller book "The Complete Book of Corvette Every Model Since 1953" and there is no mention, no pictures, no anything on the Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette (B2K)! Since the Callaway Corvette is part of Corvette history, we were terribly disappointed not to find mention of this great Corvette as part of "every model" since 1953.

Just thought the Callaway Owners Group should know we were left out of his new book :confused.

Hi Robert,

It's been a while....

Yep, that is not the first time I see that happen and it does show the ignorance that many publishers have. Most are into putting out quantity rather than quality - anyone that does research particularly on the C4 covette will ultimately stumble on the Callaway Twin Turbo option since it had an RPO code. While they may not recognize/acknowledge the Aerobody or other Callaway Options, the "B2K" engine has to be for that reason.

Hope to see you at Carlisle and wish you the very best in 2007,

-Luigi

Hello Robert & Susan :cool

That is good info to know - Natasha brought home three books from Costco one day. Three books, each with their own issues of "bad info" on the cars, if as you say, mentioned at all :(

Hope to see you guys at Carlise again in 2007, for the big Callaway Reunion :cool

...and maybe in Bowling Green in May with your Callaway???

It's only a short ~ 1,500 miles away ;) Registration links can be found here: http://www.callawayownersgroup.com/Pages/Events.htm

I have a PS2 video game called "Corvette" that says it has every Corvette from 1953 to 2003, but it doesn't. It lacks Callaways, the '98 Pace Car, the '78 Pace Car, and all of the famous concepts (Aerovette, Indy Corvette, Mako Shark, etc).

It's nice that it has the '94 pace car, '96 grandsport, '63 grandsport race car, the 2003 Lingenfelter 427, etc. but it's really not much of a game without Callaways...

For that matter, Guldstrand is credited with some racing parts in the game yet his '96 GS900 and 2003? Guldstrand Corvette (gold and navy blue) are missing from the game as well. :confused
