UPGRADED WONDER BAR TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO GET THEM

I am trying to get an idea how many people would be interested in the upgraded wonder bar if Callaway decides to make a run of them . I know in the past they sold for around $1200

Pete - please find out the installation cost as well with this - Good stuff :beer

Pete are they out of them? Last time I inquired (over a year ago) they still had a couple.

I always thought it would be a nice upgrade. Any idea of actual performance results though? I assumed they were available. A local friend who added one said it was a pain to install.

Well I can tell you my car is putting down 400+ rwhp with the upgrade. you decide :D

This is without doubt the single most effective way to make power that the car has always had. Just hidden. All the wonder bar does is redirect the flow on a smoother less restrictive path.

The installation is time consuming, and about as tuff as removing the tranny. I highly recommend that this project be done by the owner of the car. This is the best way to become familiar with your car.

For those that haven't had too much mechanical experience, perform the installation with someone else who's also planning on having one.

It was mentioned to me, the price paid for some out of the "last batch" ran $1500 (not incl. installation)

Please e mail Callaway4Fun for placement on the list... Hopefully they will be made again :upthumbs

UPDATED WONDERBAR PRODUCTION RUN

Is anybody interested in the upgraded wonderbar .I need to know because I am meeting with the folks at Callaway in a few weeks and need to know so we can get a production run of these. Just look at SurfnSun's dyno numbers and decide if it is for you . Monster power and Torque. If you sleep on this you might lose out on this item. Please get in touch with myself and let me know. Thanks in advance.

Upgraded wonderbars for 88-90 Callaway TT

They are for the years 88-90 as the air intake was changed for 1991 models the air intake was on top by the radiator. This is for the models with the air filter setup in the front right side .

On a '90 you need to relocate the coolant overflow tank to the left side to make room for the Callaway air filter box. Not a big deal... just something to plan for.

Kevin your coolant box didnt' come located there? That is the stock location on 88-89s.

'87's would qualify too.. may be a different frame piece to feed the IHI turbos if they haven't been updated.

I don't think so. I believe starting in '90 they revised the cooling system. As I think more about this, you may actually need to get the earlier overflow tank rather than just relocating it.
