I was wondering if there was a dedicated Callaway site, similar to ZR1.net? I'd like to get more information about them, year to year differences, buyer's tips, etc. I'm only concerned with the B2K cars, not the Supernaturals or anything later. Thanks!

It is the jam-packed full of information and such - It is also the exclusive site done so with the blessing of Callaway Cars

Are you looking to buy? ? or do you already have a B2K??

If there is something you would like to see onthe site, please feel free to offer your comments here, or by e-mail at: turbo_2xs@hotmail.com

Enjoy! :v :m

Thanks! That looks like a great site! I can't say I'm seriously in "looking to buy" phase yet but I've always had a fascination with the B2K cars and I'd like to start doing as much homework as possible in the event I happen across the right car.

Something I've always wondered is how the 4+3 holds up in the '87 and '88 cars. I was always under the impression that transmission was near its limit with the stock L98. The turbo cars must really tax that transmission. Is the gearbox or the overdrive unit the weak link?

Welcome to the Callaway Forum!

The actual gear box in the 4+3 holds up quite nicely. My car is pushing about 500hp and 700tq (420rwhp and 586rwtq) through it and there have been no apparent ill effects as of yet. The overdrive unit is a different story, however. It doesn't hold up well at all with the amount of torque these cars produce. I think the trick to longevity with that is to use it only for highway cruising and not for WOT runs. Unfortunately, the car will only pull up to 141 at redline in 4th, so you don't get to see the 180+MPH speeds these cars are well capable of in stock trim. Hope this helps!
