Tonight, while at the (overcrowded) mall, I walked into one of those calendar stores and while looking over this years offerings, I spotted one w/ a Callaway featured...

Here's the deal, It is a "1991 Callaway Corvette Convertible" finished in Turquoise Metallic w/ Black leather and wearing Dymags.

BUT, I am thinking this is not a 1991 but rather, a 1990 since it had a "flat hood" :eek
I am also thinking it might be the same car used on the checks and address labels, and various other promotions...

Sounds a lot like 90 B2K's car :confused

Has anyone else seen this calendar?? :beer

My car (1990 B2K Convertible) was originally owned by Reeves, in that it was originally titled to Callaway. I have confirmed this with Reeves, and I have a copy of the title. The car was used as a "demo car" to show to various Chevrolet Dealers around the country. It is B2K #005. The car originally had the flat hood and Dymags. In 1991 Callaway updated the car with the Hood Scoops, the Wonder Bar air intake , the OZ wheels and continued to use it in their promotions, their advertising and their catalog.I have several magazine articles and Callaway ads featuring the car. I drive the car on a regular basis to work at least 2 days a week, in any type of weather. I really love the car!

I have not seen the calender, but I'd love to.

90B2K, your just north of me. I'm in N. Carrollton. we should meet up some time, love to see your car.

I remember when that car was offered for sale in Hemmings (1999) - You have the hardtop too and new turbos at the time, right :m

Awesome car :upthumbs

You know, I couldn't remember exactly when I bought the car, except that it was on my birthday! I think 1999 is right, but I was unaware of the ad in Hemmings. I found the car on the internet.

By the way, I was out Christmas shopping today and found and purchased that Corvette calender. That could be my car, because they used it for a lot of promotional pictures. - Chuck Kyle

Chuck - Nice B-Day gift :beer

That pic could have been shot prior to the car getting the hood scoops

Those scoops BTW, were the most efficient way of ducting the air to the intercoolers - proper volume and degree to feed...

87's and 88-90 flat hoods flowed about the same, although some say the "cleaner" look of the 88-90's is a plus while other say, the 87's look tough as nails with the NACA's

Either way, there is a bit of "duct" trivia :beer
