Folks,
The Labor Day event at the Museum was fantastic.
I finally got to take the factory tour and see a bunch of ZR1's in production. Literally, we saw about a dozen ZR1's sprinkled throughout the assembly line. I thought these were supposed to be in limited quantity? I even saw one that was an export version (because of the side markers and the headlamp washers).
There were 2 dead ZR1's at the end of the line. There were also 2 pallets of ZR1 engines labelled return to vendor. What is up with that???
I heard a high visibility person who had placed 3 orders at different dealers to see which one could deliver first. He was #1 at one dealer but had been bumped by the owner of the dealer. He is again #1 on the list there but they were asking $100K over MSRP. What a deal!
The more I hear and see what is going on with these cars, the happier I am going with my C16 with more power, performance, luxury, and style.
Here is a picture of a Callaway SC580 at the plant with Reeves and the Plant and Museum staff. They got to drive it and loved it.
enjoy!
