Hi Jeff. The netiquette I'm referring to is the use of all caps when posting. This usually indicates shouting, but sometimes it's just the habit of the poster.
As for your inquiry, in the CAC Tech Center
Click here we have a section called the Owner Research Center
Click here.
In the Research Center, there is a link to a page on which you can submit as much or as little information as you like about a Corvette you've owned in the past.
Click here
After submitting for Staff approval, the information is stored here in the event a current or future owner comes looking for it.
If you're uncomfortable posting too much personal information on the web, then your original post in this thread should bring up info if the current owner does a search for a "1981 Dark Metallic Bronze" Corvette.
Another possible route available to you is the L81 Vette Registry started by our Admin Yoda and now managed by member PBCanney.

Hopefully some of these folks can help you get the information out there in a way that will make some C3 owner happy to have more of his Vette's history.
