I USED TO HAVE A 1981 CORVETTE DARK METALIC BRONZE . SADDLE INTERIOR. I LIVE IN FLORIDA AND WAS THE SECOND OWNER . I HAD THE CAMSHAFT GO BAD ON IT AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A UNKNOWN RECALL ON SOFT CAMSHAFTS .GENERAL MOTORS PAID TO HAVE THE CAMSHAFT REPLACED . SO I PUT A 30-30 CAMSHAFT IN IT . IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED SINCE THEY DID NOT MAKE MANY DARK BRONZE CARS I CAN GIVE YOU INFO ABOUT 1 ST OWNER . SECOND OWNER (ME) AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW ?

WE WANNA KNOW WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

Are you trying to sell something?

I'm guessing the third owner of your 81 would be interested in the information you have. Do you have the VIN?

:)

RVN, not everyone is aware of 'netiquette.' And considering your response here, even those that are don't always practice what they preach.

Hi Jeff. The netiquette I'm referring to is the use of all caps when posting. This usually indicates shouting, but sometimes it's just the habit of the poster. ;)

As for your inquiry, in the CAC Tech Center Click here we have a section called the Owner Research Center Click here.

In the Research Center, there is a link to a page on which you can submit as much or as little information as you like about a Corvette you've owned in the past. Click here

After submitting for Staff approval, the information is stored here in the event a current or future owner comes looking for it.

If you're uncomfortable posting too much personal information on the web, then your original post in this thread should bring up info if the current owner does a search for a "1981 Dark Metallic Bronze" Corvette.

Another possible route available to you is the L81 Vette Registry started by our Admin Yoda and now managed by member PBCanney.

Here's a link to the L81 Registry: http://l81vetteregistry.com/

Hopefully some of these folks can help you get the information out there in a way that will make some C3 owner happy to have more of his Vette's history. :thumb

I guess i just must be ignorant since i have not had a computer that long. (edit)
This is the first thread (?) i have posted and will be my last because of people like you.(edit)
I guess that is what i get for trying to help someone in todays world . Someone that sticks their nose into someones bussiness when it is not needed .
