I just bought a 1974, the guy a purchased it from had done some suspension work to it, replaceing what appears to be most everything according to the receipts; and by looking at it. The car (all four wheels) where straight when I loaded it on my trailor; however about half way through my trip the bottom of one of the rear tires slid outwards. I thought maybe it was due to being straped down but after removing it from the trailor it is the same. Nothing underneith appears to be bent. My question is how do I adjust the camber to get it straight enough to drive to a shop. It is so far out it looks like it is falling off. (even though I know it isnt.) This is my first Corvette, so the rear end on it is completely new to me. Thanks in advance for any help! greenb98

There are Eccentric Bolts under rear end housing in struts!!:upthumbs

If the strut rods (secured by the aforementioned eccentric bolts) have moved you'll need to get the car properly aligned.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I just want to get the tire straight enough to get it to a shop. The tire is canted so bad that I'm afraid I'll damage something trying to drive it like it is!

Something sounds very wrong if it went from appearing vertical to that very bad angle. You sure something didn't come undone or break? Sounds pretty serious!

You will think i'm crazy but this worked for me till I got it to the shop for alignment. I put a 4" level on the spindle cover end cap and kept adjusting till it came level (90 degrees to ground). I got to the shop and one was perfect and the other was off 2 degrees.
