Thank you Gary for all of your info, as well as everyone else who contributed- I just didn't want to offend anyone by asking a thousand questions that currently aren't totally 'Vette related (they will be one day though!).

I think the bigger question is how much are you willng to spend if you mess it up! I painted my 72 in my garage back in the high school days. The prep work was mint but my buddy put too much thinner in the laquer I was using and it dried before it hit the car so it came out a nice red sandpaper :}

I got ****ed and sent it out to get done. I am taking my 73 to the Prepright guy this Friday to have it media stripped then off to the painter it goes. Kiss $5,000.00 goodbye but it will be money well spent!

just my 2 cents. I wish you luck. The key is quality prep, make sure you use a good sealer primer> would go with PPG base and catalyst clrear. I would do it again if I had somthing to experiment on!
