I bought the R&D Racing camber brace designed for the L98 90 & 91 but my mechanic and I couldn't mount it. The steering fluid reservoir is in the way on one side where it is supposed to mount and the radiator hose is in the way on the other side . Has anyone sucessfully installed one for the 90 or 91? Photos or other help would be greatly appreciated.

R & D

I just put one on my 90. The instructions say to remove the top bolt on the PS tank and tilt it toward the radiator. I don't remember any problem with the radiator hose. I will say it is a pain in the azz to get it in place. If you didn't get longer bolts with the kit you will need to get them from R & D. The nuts will go on the stock bolts but not far enough to make me feel good. I think the replacement bolts are hardened. Good luck.

I have one, and it was a little tough to fit it under the radiator hose. I had to remove a screw, and bolt it in, no big deal really. I called R&D and they were awesome.

My 96 had a camber brace on it when I purchased it. It made any work on the front of the engine a PITA - even changing the serp. belt was an ordeal with the brace in place. When I replaced the Opti. I decided to leave it off. I've done track days with and without the brace and didn't notice any handling difference. So, my take is that they're a bit overrated. Unless you're a dedicated tracker/racer, they just make the car harder to work on. Just my 2 sense . . .
