Help! Can't open the hood!!

I was doing some wiring looms under the hood of my 1982 coupe and making things a bit neater...Disaster struck! I took the clip off the driver side hood cable but put it back exactly as it was, checked the latch and it released as it should. So I closed the hood. When I pull on the release the driver side opens but the passenger side won't release!!! I didn't touch that side except to work on the wiring harnesses on that side. Now I can't get the passenger side to release..HELP!!! How do I get it to release? Please email me at fasterthanu@comcast.net

With the drivers side up a little, pull the cross cable and hope for it to open.

there should be a hole about an inch in diameter,under the back of the hood.
you should be able to stick a long screwdriver in there and pop the hood open!!!!
