C1 Folks,

Nice piece in this months edition of Corvette Magazine titled "Car 54 Where Are You?" It's written and photograhed by Richard Prince. The author talks about the 54's being the first Corvettes to be built in a mass-production environment. Beautiful photographs of Rob and Rene Tringali's perfect 54. I still love this car - even after all these years.

Thought you might find it interesting,
Regards - Remo

The Summer of 65

Dave,

I took a trip through your web site. It was terrific. My first Corvette was a 65 convertible 396/425HP purchased new. I drove it for 5 months until I went into the Army. After my all expense paid vacation in southeast Asia I returned and had a blast with that car. Drove all over the country. Met a local girl in Santa Cruz, Calif. while there surfing. We got married several years later (sound familure?).

I really enjoyed viewing all the trips you and your wife have taken and those very interesting modifications to that 66.

Thanks Remo. I'm headed to Hershey PA with the NCRS Road Tour July 10 - 13 (if you are going - I'll see you there). A week after that - back to Glacier Park in Montana.

Summer Trips

Dave,

I wanted to go Hershey but I'll be traveling for my company and the dates conflicted. My best Covette pal, Guy Wright (82-Guy) and his wife will be there with their black 82 Top Flight car.

82-Guy and I will be at the Covettes @ Carlise event, August 22-24. And in September we're going to hook up with some of our southern Corvette friends down in North Caroilina to drive the "Dragons Tail" (321 turns in 11 miles). From there we're driving over to Bowling Green to the Corvette Museum and also do the assembly plant tour. This trip will be without wives (pure Rt-66 style) two guys in a Vette. We'll take mine as it is ideal for the longer haul.
