Hi,

I'm looking for advice or suggestions in using a car cover on a garage kept car.
Any information you can share with me regarding any specific brand or type is appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony Gomez

Hi Tony

A lot of people buy the Noah cover - it's an excellent cover and is for indoor and outdoor use. Since I keeo my car inside the garage all the time I only needed an indoor cover for dust protection (and the cats incase they manage to sneak into the garage without us knowing)

I went with the Dustop cover from California Car Cover and am very happy with it. it's very soft like flannel and lightweight - two qualities I was looking for and it fits the car well.

I have a Noah. I have used it indoor and outdoor. It's a great cover, it's soft and easy to apply. I have only used it outdoor once in the rain and it did keep the car dry. I had it laundered and then commercially dried(big mistake). It shrunk...... It was covered under warranty and they did replace it. I would highly recommend it..

Tony,

The guy who sold me my Corvette had it under a Back East cover...

It fit like a glove and looked to be very well made. I plan on ordering one as soon as I have two nickels to rub together (just bought the car last week!).

Now that you're a classic Corvette owner, good luck keeping two nickels at a time. ;LOL
Good point... I guess I should just order the cover. :L

I use a Noah on both of my cars and I think they fit fine and do an excellent job of keeping dust off the cars. Check the site that BarryK gave you and price the Noah....it's good for indoor/outdoor use and even if you say now you're only going to keep it indoors, you never know.
BTW, congrats on a beauty of a car and welcome aboard the forum.

I will tell you a problem with covers.

You must have one that breathes weather you park in a garage or not. I have a 67 deville convertable.I park the car in a neighbors garage. The wife and kids purchased a NO NAME car cover for me and I had put it on the caddy in the neighbors garage. Well some how the garage floor got wet/damp and because the cover didnt breath all of the moisture got trapped in the car.

Since that time I dont cover any of my cars.I am looking for a bag to put the caddy in for the winter with some decicant in the bag

I agree...A great cover...made from 100% cotton. Nice and soft for indoor usage. I've had mine for years. They fit like a glovee on my 86 and 65. A little pricy but worth it.

Thanks to everyone for the useful information. As soon as hurricane Frances moves on, I will be placing an order to buy the car cover.

Regards.

Hi Tony,

Long time no see!

My wife bought me a cover for my '67 that I know you would like.
It is very heavy, with soft flannel inside and has a "pocket" for the antenna, so that even your antenna is covered!

The cover is made my "The Canvas Shoppe".
They are in Flint Michigan. Their telephone number is: (810) 733-1841.

I hope that you and yours are snug and safe as we await hurricane Frances.
She is moving very slowly. Hopefully she'll slow down even more before she gets to Florida.

Best regards,

Pedro
