Car Covers...whats the best?

Coverbond4?

anybody ever hear of CoverBond 4 from Mid America? This one any good?

Iam still undecided....alot of mixed reviews on the Noah and Evolution 4's....and there seems to be more then 1 maker for each....so its sorta confusing on who is best?

any additional input would be great guys....I don't want to have to buy another one for a long time.

Thanks

I have only had one cover, but I don't think you are going to get away with that, no matter what you buy. They get dirty and are fairly difficult to clean - it's actually easier to clean them ON the car, then remove and hang to dry, and then wash the car. The covers also wear fairly quickly.

I have had mine (Noah) for two years now, and I think I might get one more year and that's all.

Don't be too alarmed that there is more than one maker for a specific cover. These vendors don't actually make the material, so you should have no worries in regard to material consistency. The vendors simply purchase the material and sew their own covers from it.

That said, I have had a Wolf Noah (fabric made by Kimberly-Clark) cover for over 4 years now. I don't subject it to outdoor conditions so it still looks new. I'll probably get another 4 years out of it. I can't comment on it's longevity when exposed to the elements though.

If you're interested, CoverCraft will send you material samples of the fabrics that you are considering....all you have to do is call them. Nice company to deal with.

I had a Noah and sold it to my neighbor for $100 when I bought a Cover King Stormproof. The Noah leaked any time there was more than a light rain, every time. To the point where my floor would get wet where the Targa leaks with no cover on at all.

No more water with the Stormproof. My '88 is garaged unless I'm at my second home on the Chesapeake where garage space is at a premium thanks to the mint '83 280ZX my woman bought. Let's not go there. Anyway, this cover works great. About $100 more than the Noah, but worth it. No seepage at all. It seems like a rubbery kind of windbreaker material. Double seams and good elastic for a great fit.

The Noah is more of a padded cover and would work better for the cat thing. I'd just get a pellet gun and buy the Stormproof though. They'll put a logo on it too if you want.

xccter...how thick is the material?

Was wondering how thick the stormproofs cover is? Do you think it is durable enough to withstand the cat thing? I know, pellet gun would work, but Iam not home most of the time when they jump on it.

Unfortunately NO. The Stormproof is not thick at all. It wouldn't provide any protection against a cat's claws. A Noah, on the other hand is very thick and I would think do a reasonably good job with the cat thing, just not keep you dry in anything more than a light rain. Sorry.
