car storage and moisture

Slickman, I have heard (maybe an old wives tale) of people having rust issues as moisture continues to circulate. Also, if your car leeks a bit (or marks its spot, as the Harley guys say) doesn't it circulate the oil "fumes/vapors"? SUre does look like a great idea though.

Thanks,
Jordan

Well, all I can say is that I have checked and the car is dry as a bone. I also have dryer packs inside the car. As far as fumes, It is not circulating air (or fumes and such), its taking air from outside, filtering it and blowing it into the bubble (and back out again). This creates a content air flow thus not allowing the moisture to build up, it evaporates off.

Continuous Airflow - Evaporative storage keeps your car dry, stops corrosion and mildew, and eliminates musty interior odors. The Car Capsule does not eliminate humidity, It eliminates condensation. The fan exchanges the air volume 3-4 times every hour. This constant air change and air flow does not allow hot air and cold masses to meet. This in turn eliminates condensation and keeps the vehicle dry regardless of the temperature or humidity level.

I have to try this next winter, better than the dry packs and cheeper too.

I know it may sound silly but a old timer told me to put charcoal under my vette in the winter and it works great. Being from minesota there is always snow melting under the vehicles you drive when parked without a drain the whole garage floor gets to be a mess. A cheap bag of kingsford cured the problem for me. Kept it bone dry under the vette, course come spring you have to clean it up off the floor

I was reading some of the old Forums and your question on car stoage and moisture, I have stored my 67 in a car bubble unheated garage for the last two winters, yes it gets cold in Ohio it has performed an excellent job no moisture or condensation, the bubble is made by Car Capsule and I would highly recommend

Thank You All for the information.I realley have to get off my but and install the heat.Yesterday it was 49 degrees out side I opened the wifes garage and it was Ice Cold I did not open my garage because I would have had the moisture again.I just have to add the heater to the garage when I get some time
