Car wont turn on need help taking this off

I have a 94 vette and just recently the car would not start with the key turned on. No ignition or anything no power or anything. I took the steering apart and I found out the ignition lever is broke it did not move when the key was turned on. Now the problem is that I can not take this cover off the steering column pictured below. The problem is under there. Has anybody had this problem before or know my situation. Help me take this cover off. Thanks

I think you get at that from the steering wheel end.

You'll have to remove the wheel and start digging deeper and deeper into the guts of the column. Here's a link to get you started....
