Anyone have any suggestions on how to add tie down points to the cargo area of the C5 Coupe? The cargo net is OK for small, light stuff, but luggage sure does shoot around under spirited driving.

You might try adapting a spare set of the floor mounted roof panel holders to having a hole or hook. Then you could use the rear floor mounts for the cargo net on the back end and the floor roof panel mount points for the fronts...

I use the "checkered sponge" type material used to line tool cabinets and kitchen drawers. Really good no slip. I just place it (roll it out) under the suitcases and they stay put.

Sears sells the stuff to line tool box drawers. Usually black and $$. You can purchase the same material at Walmart for much less and it comes in colors!

When not carrying suitcases etc, I roll it up and put it in one of the rear storage compartments. Works well, cheap, and you don't have to drill holes in the car.

Good thought Mapman. I was hung up on tie-downs, as they were stock in my previous car. I bought a roll of rubber mesh stuff at Walmart and it works very well. Thanks.
