I don't even know if this is possible but does anyone know of a carpet dye that I can use to make my carpet black again. The carpet is in good shape but just faded. Even the rubber part under the drivers heal is in good shape. Thanks,

Andy;help

I believe the same Interior Dye that all the major corvette vendors sell is equally effective on carpet as is is vinyl and metal. Best of luck!

I did my 70 with RIT fabric dye available at supermarkets and craft stores. Mixed it put it in a spray bottle sprayed it on let it set and rubbed off the excess with a shop towel.

My black carpet had turned brownish in spots due to exposure to the sun. I sprayed it 2 years ago and it still looks fine. I had to do minor touch up on one spot when done but with the spray bottle the fix is easy and quick.

Fortunately black is easy to match.

thanks

:beer , I knew that someone out there would have the answer! Thanks red70vette. I thought about using regular dye but wondered about rub off. I am going to give it a try.
