Carpet Restoration.

I started to do a carpet restro on my 77 and came across these red plugs under the sill plate. They’re on the driver’s side but not on the passenger side. Can anyone tell me what they are there for?

They look like the plugs they use after they do a undercoat job on a car. They plug the access hole that are drilled so that the undercoat can be sprayed into the hard/impossible areas to reach.
