CD inoperative

'95 Coupe - Bose premium package. Radio and all work great but when I insert my CD, it takes it but pops it right back out with a message " E r r " Thinking that it might be dirty (after only 43K miles??) I bought a CD cleaner. Goes in, but pops right back out with the same message. ??

Any thoughts?

Naw, you must be kidding, the Bose system is top of the line. Well maby 15 years ago:L Do a search for Dr. Don's, they can rebild it for you, make it better, stronger, faster,etc.

Better yet, since I couldn't find Dr. Don's with a search, go to dogpile, its a search engine, and type in a search for bose repair, you'll find lots of results.

Bose Radio CD

I had the good doctor do mine last fall it cost 15 to ship to him 130 for the work and 15 to ship back. I couldn't be happier.

If you want to spend some extra bucks he will put in a modern cd reader that will read burned cds .

Don't blame the radio for failing. What happens is alll the years of sitting the car in the sun and super heating the interior has dryed out the drive belts etc in the cd

Thanks. Called the Doc and will send it for repair. He said that although the CD would insert, the servo was not picking up and therfore not driving the CD. $130 + $15 S&H. Not bad for a rebuilt unit. 24-48 hour turn-around. Did not know about the reading of burned CD's - that's good info.
