how can you tell a reproduction wheel from a factory one? what markings?

I bought a set of CE 9.5's last week. Got a really good deal, but just curious if they are OEM or repros.

Thanks

Originals will be marked with a JWL, have a 8 digit GM part number stamped on the backside of a spoke, and a few other marks.

Aftermarkets will say the name of the company usually. Biggset difference is the weight. A-molds (originals) are lighter

Thanks.
In that case, I managed to pick up OEM wheels! Cool. I thought so, but I wanted to make sure.

$500 for a set of 4 (9.5 all the way around) in really good condition.

Where did you find the wheels you bought? I presume they came complete with the center caps?

Local wheel and tire shop. They carry new and used. They just happened to have them (used) with center caps. they wanted $600 to start....so a $100 reduction. yeah!

Oh, and it is possible to fit four 9.5" rims in the front seat of a convertible. HA! Hey, I had to get them all home some how.

Yeah....just don't make any hard right turns. :D
