I was looking through my mid america catolouge for chambered exhaust. There was no mention of mufflers, am i correct in thinking that mufflers are not needed?
If not, what are they made of that none is needed?
Also, i've heard good things about flowmasters from past reply's
But, which ones, regular flowmasters or delta flows?
i'm still trying to make up my mind, between,
chambered or flow's.
thanks alot , again! :confused gary.

I JUST INSTALLED A CHAMBERED SYSTEM IN MY 73 COUPE,SOUND IS GREAT , QUIET UNDER THE HOOD, VERY LITTLE RUMBLE IN THE CAR, REAR EXIT IS LOUD BUT THE SOUND IS VETTE.

NO MUFFLERS NEEDED.

flowmasters

Hi there

We also have been tossing around the idea of chambered exhaust or regular exhaust with a muffler. The chambered exhaust has baffles built in under the car and act as mufflers. If you decide to go with regular exhaust we have been told by everyone to go with series 40 dual chamber flowmasters. They make a nice noise!!!

We want some rumble. The delta are a 3 chamber and not as loud but still sound pretty good. We heared them on a 75 vette last week.

Have fun

One added benefit to chambered is that the view from behind is much cleaner with no mufflers hanging down.
