I always change my engine oil before the car go's in Winter storage. Now I hear folks say change when it comes out of storage. Have I been doing it wrong for 60 years?

There is really no wrong way, changing it before storing removes the contaminates and possible acidic compounds so no internal damage can occur from the engine oil. If you are going to change your oil anyway, I don't see any advantage in waiting until spring. Either choice you won't be wrong. :)

I my world, we change the oil in the Spring, at the beginning of the driving season. Start the season with fresh oil and filter, drive all summer on known good product. :thumb
