Im looking to put lower gears in my 59 I have the 4speed and my rear end houseing has a cast number 370 7306 lots of people say its a ford 9 " but it's gm all the way would like some 3:73's or 3:55's its a 10 bolt gear houseing comes out the front any Ideas where to look or which other chev may have a interchangeble part so I could look at a wrecker here in canada :beer

You already may have a 3.55 or 3.70 ratio.

Jack the back up. Mark a tire and mark the drive shaft. Turn the tires once then count how many times the driveshaft mark goes by. 3 and a half times = 3.55. 3 and 3/4ths times = 3.70.

going to try that many people tell me I have 4:11's I think the best thing for me to do is remove the gears and check stamp numbers or count revs of shaft myself thanks will report back
