Does anyone know the details involved in taking out the stock Delco/Bose cassette radio from my 88 and putting in a new Pioneer CD/radio? Will it require special adapters because of the Bose system? Any and All comments are welcome and appreciated!
:D

From what I understand the Bose amps operate @ .5 or 1.0 OHMS or something silly like that. You will need to get a converter to use your existing speakers or get new speakers to go along with your head unit.

I'm pretty sure you could use your existing wiring but you would have to cut and replace the connectors as they are Bose specific.

Of course the easy thing to do is take it to a Best Buy or Crutchfields and let them worry about it.

Hope this helps.

All the radio wiring must be redone. You cannot use any of it from the Bose setup. You may need to add a couple resistors to keep your computer happy not sure on that year but my 1990 has to have them.
