Check Engine Light

Anyone that knows this:

01 Coupe 6 mnl with 28,000 miles.

Engine running same as always - just fine. Check engine light comes on. Check the DIC and the only code I have is a P 0440 H C. The only corresponding code I can find in the printouts of the codes is a P 0441 which is an "EVAP not purging". Engine still running just fine!

Can someone tell me what is happening and is it serious - like stop driving the Vette now - or is it a minor thing that a DIY can fix?

HI there,
Check to make sure that the gas cap is on the fuel tank and tight.
The P0440, is for a large leak detected in the EVAP system.
This is normally caused by a gas cap being off or very loose.
