Just had the check engine light come on. DIC says P1416 secondary air injector system bank 2. OK can anyone tell me what this means? Should I not be driving?

Same thing happened to my 98 shortyly after I brought her home. Its a $25 part that needs to be replaced. You can drive it, but get it replaced soon. I believe its a check valve, 1 on both sides, and I think it provides air for emissions, but not too sure.

That link doesn't work for me. It is probably because it references a temporary searchID. What were the keywords that you searched on? That might help to recreate it.

I did a search for P1416. There are about 8 postings relating to it in the C5 forums, some with replies from C4/C5 specialist (Paul). They refer to a blocked check valve in the emissions system that requires intake manifold removal.
