Chilton's or '66 - '82 Shop Manual

Looks like you have made up your mind. I agree with everyone else, get the shop manual. Picked up mine for 25 bucks on ebay. It was used and and the cover is slightly abused, but worth every penny.

I think I'm going to go with the Service Manual. I can't find a Shop Manual for my specific year. And I think the Service Manual is what I want, right?

I have the Chilton's now (because it came with the car.) It is way too general to lead you through any of the more indepth projects on our cars. It does have some usefull summaries for certain things though.

I have the Chilton book for 69' - 82'. It isn't very detailed at all.
