The choke light gets its power from the 20 amp "gauge" fuse. This fuse also supplies power to the console gauges. If your console gauges seem to be working, then the bulb could need replacing. If your console gauges don't work, then check the fuse. But now the next question is to determine why the fuse blew. If that's the case, I will walk you through it.
Good luck!
HI there,
The gauges are fine and I know the fuse and bulb are not blown, because when I turn the key to start the choke light comes on. The second my car starts the choke light if off. Strange and still puzzled.......Janine
it should come on with a bulb check with key in the on position then go out when the car starts glad to have met you in carlile i willpost pics soon steve
Hi Steve, it nice to meet you too, in Carlisle.
Well, then I feel better about knowing that my car is fine. Some how in my silly brain I thought the choke light should of gone on for a few minutes till car warmed up. One less thing to fix LOL
