chrome hoops

can you order from another supplier?
I hate it when I have to wait...I had to wait for 4 months
for my long tube headers from LG MOTORSPORTS in Texas....
almost lost my zest to own them....
but love them today!

I researched some other vendors..

and all of them drop-shipped them from RK Sports. I called Friday and was going to just cancel if they had another excuse, but they have finally shipped, and should arrive tomorrow.

There are a few other things I wanted from RK, but after this I hesitate to order again. Hopefully the hoops will be perfect, and I know I'm going to love them on the car! I'll post a pic when they're finally installed.

I'm so disappointed...

Hoops arrived yesterday, both hoops have chips in the chrome and one is badly pitted in the area that will be covered by carpet, but come on!! I am supposed to e-mail digital pics to RK Sport so they can "make it right" (I don't want a token discount, I want flawless hoops!) . I'll let you all know what they do, but at this point I would NOT recommend RK Sport.

The sad part is we propped the hoops up in the car and they looked AWESOME! I hope this all works out....

Has anybody considered getting a piece of custom plexiglass to span across the rollbars similar to the bmwz3 or the boxster. I would think that this would help with the cockpit wind buffiting as higher speeds. Of course would have to be cut in a esthtically pleasing shape to look good and be functional.

No real help from Customer Service..

the Customer Service Rep showed my pictures to his boss, but the best they can do is issue a return authorization, and I wait for another set of hoops to ship - he estimated another 5 weeks!

As good as they looked, I cannot wait that long - especially with no assurances that quality control will have improved by then! I am returning them for a refund, and perhaps looking into having them custom-made.

I'm really bummed...the least they could have done is put a rush on them (or say they would to make me happy!). Oh, he did say his boss gave him authorization to reimburse my return shipping charges to make up for the inconvenience - woohoo!
