I 'm sure the question has been asked before (maybe even by me), But which is the best classic car insurance company to use?
Getting ready to put mine on an agreed value policy & just wondering who everyone is useing. Thanks

I pay $97 per year to State Farm for full coverage on my 1978. Limit is 6,000 miles per year.

Good point. If going with a collector insurance make sure you know of all the restrictions. Most all will not allow driving to work or school and they must be stored in a locked garage. Some do have the requirement that you cannot leave the car unattended when it is out of the garage. Hagerty does not have that restriction but some do. Some have milage restrictions. Some don't have mileage restrictions but will ask up front how many miles you drive a year and if the # is too high will decline coverage (a round about milage restriction).

Only go with collector insurance if you can live with the restrictions. Otherwise go with "regular" insurance. Just make sure you get an "agreed value" policy so that you will know for sure how much you will get in case of a total loss.

Hagerty

I have been with Hagerty for years have a 68 Mustang and my 78 vette insured with them. I got introduced to them through a accident.I was employed by Saturn in Spring Hill Tn. they had a home coming and the employees was ask to bring thier classic out of the garage and put them on display, A friend had a 66 chevelle at the open house a severe wind storm pop up and blew down tents , my friends car was in one that had the most damage, he was insured by Hagerty they had the car fixed back actually better than it was before without any hassle, therefore I went with them

make sure the property damage and liability are up to were you want them because paying off a $50,000 corvette is cheap to these insurance companies compared to a $1,000,000 law suit. when you have a car stolen tell the cops you will pay a $1000 reward to who ever finds the car. every cop in town will be looking for your car. a friend did this and they found his corvette in 3 hours. i have had cars stolen, not a valueable car like a corvette and the cops never found it till some one called the cops about it being parked in front of their house 4 days later

HAGERTY!

That is who I go with and they are great my car blew a waterpump over the summer in less than an hour I had a flat bed bringing my car to the chev garage to get it fixed and they are 248.00 a year for an 81. Very Good Insurance.
