Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with the Xpel clear cover / bra products? (My search didn't turn up a lot)

I am looking at using the following on my new coupe:

http://www.xpel.com/products.asp?pr...es=0&year=2002&make=7&model=118&submodel=1948

How noticable are the lines where the protection stops? Any discoloring issues (car finish or vinyl)? Would you use it again on your new car?

I have only seen one car with it on and it looked pretty good. However, that was a very dark blue Mustang Cobra.

Thanks,

I had X-pel installed on my 03 vette last fall. Love it! Type in on your search Ultrashield. This product also goes by the name of Stongard, Clearbra. The actual product is made by 3M and the same material used on propellors to prevent rock chips. Outstanding product! I had this installed on my vettes nose, wheel wells, front and back of each tire, mirrors, and under the door latches. You don't even know its on your car as your paint shines through!

As an installer of the 3M clear film, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the frontal area of their vehicle proctected from rock ships and bug splatter. The product will not discolor or harm the paint. The kits are cut to match the vehicle you want it applied to. Presently there are over 700 different kits avaliable going back to around 1988. I had to hand cut it to apply to my 76. I would not recommend anyone to buy it as a kit and try to apply it yourself. Takes a fair amount of experience to get it right without having to redo it.

If anyone want additional information feel free to contact me privately.

Two Thumbs up for 3M

I installed the film on my own two weeks ago. (I also have experience installing the product.) It's the best paint protection available. It's nearly invisible, doesn't change color, it's removable if desired.

1. do you install this stuff after a wax job for easiest removal or just when ever the front is perfectly clean?

2 spay some windex or simiar on the paint when appling apply the plastic the windex will allow you to slide the plastic around and remove the air bubbles so it is easier (read this in another thread about the same topic.
