81 Vette. When I turn on the A/C, I hear a constant clicking noise and a noticeable drag on the engine. Is my compressor gone?

Also, what's the easiest way to get to the drivers side, forward plug? I've
got them all replaced but that one.

Thanks

Ken

Sounds to me like your A/C compressor clutch is doing the clicking, that's usually an indication of low feon. On your plug, you might find taking the tire off and going thru the wheel well will do the trick.

Put your spark plug socket on the plug and then use a box end wrench to operate your socket. Thats how I've always done it.

Thanks! I was thinking about going thru the wheel well. I just had freon put in the A/C about a month back. Must have a leak somewhere.
