Hi

I'm going to disconnect my negative battery cable to install DRL's,
do l have to order Mid-Americas Clock memory bypass inorder to prevent loss of pre-programmed settings like radio, keyless entry and some ECM functions?

The device from Mid-America plugs into the cigarette lighter with a 9 volt battery attached.

Thanks

Alan

Yes...

If you want to keep your station settings and clock readings, you'll need that device. ;)

But you don't need too. Save yourself a few bucks and just reset yourself. You still have your owners manual, don't you. If not we casn walk you thru the clock/radio set procedure. Very easy to do

Thanks, but what about the ECM functions??? Yes l have the orig manual so l can set the radio and keyless fob.

In Mid-America catalog it mentioned that this device also keeps the ECM functions, whatever they are.

Alan

Don't worry about the ECM functions. The only thing you'll lose will be your radio presets & clock functions. Once you rehook your battery & fire up, you'll be ready to roll.

Use the money you were going to spend on the memory bypass on a Chiltons manual at your local auto parts store & one other thing: keep waving!:w
