I have a noise coming from the pass side rear. As you start moving there is a "clunk". The car drives normal. I checked for any loose bolts and found nothing. All were tight. With car up on jacks and wheels removed I had my wife start car and put in gear and go aprox 10mph. Both the upper and lower control arms seam to slide on the bolt when the brakes are applied. I just had the car aligned and the tech said the bushing were all ok. Now I checked the up/down movement and the bushings dont move. It doesnt look as if there is enough room to use a shim to keep the control arms from sliding. I checked the drivers side for the forward to rear movement of the control arms and it does the same thing but without the "clunk".
what gives??
