I've sent my cluster out for repair, had it rebuilt and after reinstalling had it working for one day without any flickering. The next morning it flickered again so I sent it back for retesting which after 3 days under different temps etc worked perfect.
I am at a loss on what to do to get the flickering to stop. I've seen a few posts that mention a faulty ground.

I'm wondering if there's a person who can steer me in the right direction. I have a mechanic doing the work and he charges 100 bucks per hour so it'd be nice if I could tell him exactly what to do.

Thanks,
Jeff

It has been a while...but if memory serves there are two cluster grounds, one in the area of the passenger side door pillar, and one on a driver side transmission bell housing bolt. I could be mistaken...this is from memory (which isn't exactly always reliable!)

Ground

As a reference in my FSM for my 93 the instrument cluster ground is below the left hand side of the instrument panel on the left hand kick panel. That may or may not be the location of the ground for your instrument cluster.

Grounds are critical as pointed out above as well as clean power so check for a properly operating charging system. A quick test is to shine your head lights on a wall and look for any flickering.
