Clutch cross shaft rubs headers

I just installed Dynomax ceramic headers on my 75 small block and the clutch
cross shaft really rubs the last tube on the header. The stud that screws to the block is fixed and the frame side reciever has the stud bottomed out not leaving any play at the headers. I wondered if extending the frame hole further down would solve my problem, (although the shaft would be askew),or does anyone else have a better solution? Thanks for any suggestions.
PS. If you suggest bending the header I was concerned that the ceramic might be damaged and lead to other problems, and bending the cross shaft might lead to shifting problems.

Same thing happend to me when installing Dynomax ceramic headers. I took the z-bar (cross shaft) to a machine shop and had him ding the z-bar where the header was rubbing. I made sure that he understood that he had to ding it but without bending the bar from one end to the other (bar had to remain perfectly straight). Worked like a charm and I think I paid the shop $5.00 for their time. No problem shifting. Just make sure you don't bend the bar while making the ding.
