I ran the vette at the track before my gear swap at 13.9. That was with the headers uncapped t tops off and you get the picture. with everything hooked up i ran 14.3(gotta love those 3.08 and stock tq converter). At the time i was running two electric fans and a small flex fan. My car would run hot idling around town so i put the shroud back in and put a heavy duty clutch fan in. shortly after that i started with the gear swap and didnt run the car for a while. The first run with the new 4.11s, i had the exhaust hooked up and everything in the car even another person .i ran a 13.9. I was very dissapointed, but i have been thinking about it== i think the clutch fan is suckin a lot of power. And i know that my stock 76 exhaust is lettin those big bad supercomps and dart heads breathe-haha. Anyone have any guesses on the hp loss with a clutch fan and stock pullies. I am thinkin a 20hp gain with the exhaust unhooked, easy. With everything out of the car better electric fans with no clutch fan, pullies and exhaust unhooked im lookin at low 13s

No, the fan clutch isn't sucking enough power to make any noticeable difference - certainly nowhere near as much as the losses from running a full exhaust system vs. uncappped headers. Fan clutches unlock over 3500 rpm anyway.

Bud if your really pulling those 400 hp you should be well into the twelves.

Dont take off the T-tops, its like turning the car into a catchers mit. It just slows you down. Put them on and close the windows. That might help.
