clutch/Pressure Plate Installation help

I recently removed my clutch and pressure plate to check the rear main seal for leaks. I am ready to re-install it and have a question concerning the "x" on the flywheel. The clutch, pressure plate and flywheel were installed brand new just prior to me purchasing the car so everthing is fine there.

I checked the shop manual I have (Chilton) and it references lining up the "x" on the flywheel with the "x" on the clutch assembly. I have looked high and low on the clutch and pressure plate assembly and cannot find an "x" anywhere. Can anyone give me some tips on this ?

Thanks,

Look for any stamp mark on the edge of the plate assembly. The X was only on original GM factory plates. If your plate is a reman that has been resurfaced, it may have a mark indicating balance match point, but I doubt it.
