Hello everyone, new here.
I am looking at getting a Corvette in the next month. The dealership I went to yesterday only had auto cars.
I have issues with my left knee and would like to know how the clutch pressure is on the Z06? If I'm going to drop the cash to buy one of these cars, I might as well go all out.
The ONLY thing I don't like about the Z06 is the solid top. I would like to have the option of going topless when weather permits. But, I also am a power addict.
Thanks for any response.

Hello fade94... I can't help you with your question as I don't have a Z06, but welcome to the:CAC. It is always nice to have another fellow Texan aboard. This is a great forum:upthumbs and I am sure you will enjoy it, not to mention learn alot about Vettes. I know you will find the one you are looking for. By the way, we aren't that far away from each other:beer

Yep, your just up the road. Just got back from looking at the C6 again. I like the car, but would really like to have the power of the Z06. I watched a review type video that had nothing but good things to say about the performance of the Z on the track, but said it sucked on the road because of road noise. Still trying to decide. Pretty hard to make an informed decision without being able to drive one.

HI there,
Due to revised hydraulics, the pressure and feel is much improved over c5, IMO.
The actual pressure on the pedal is about that of a c5, but more linear in feeling.
Given the extensive increase in pressure plate clamping force and design, I found it very very acceptable.
Allthebest, c4c5

That's what I needed to know.

Hello, Fade94. I'll add my welcome to the :CAC as well. Glad to have you here.

To your question about clutch pressure- I have to tell you that any answer you get from us will likely be subjective in nature. I like the clutch on C6 much better than I liked the feel of the clutch on my C5 Z06. But that won't mean much to you until you drive a manual transmission C6 yourself, which I encourage you to do. And let us know what you think of it when you do test drive one.

Trying to find a place to rent one I guess. Dealership here won't allow test drive. Also considering going out to TMS and driving one of those.
