Clutch Replacement

Replacing the clutch on my 90 this week. Couple things I am not sure of.
1- Do I have to remove the distributer or the cap and rotor only?
2- The service manual mentions a sealer for the support beam. Is this important ?
3- What do I use to remove the pilot bushing?
