abs light and service engine light came on going to work today. came home jumped dlc. instead of lights flashing for codes the codes came on the speedometer! cool. codes are as follows,

1. c12 i know thats normal.

H29

4. ---

9. ERR

A.---

1.0

im trying to find the codes but this damn service manual aint helping. any ideas?

I would reset the ECM. Give it some drive time and recheck. Secondary air injection circuit wouldn't affect the ASR. Perhaps yours is OBDII and requires a scan tool to read the codes correctly.

i cleared all codes as instructed by the service manual. i did it two ways. one required jumping the 12 and 4 port and fiddling with the eng/met and trip od buttons. the other way i jumped the 12 and 5 ports and fiddled with the buttons. next i disconnected the neg terminal for an hour. started her up no eng light but abs light was still on. didnt drive it yet. manual said to check eng 2 fuse. i did and it was blown. replaced.

You should start another thread with a title that explains your problem better. Some people don't read every thread and some will only read interesting subject lines. :D

"Code help" doesn't draw the attention like an ABS light on or something more exciting. ;)

cleared codes last night. abs light never went off . but the service engine light did. drove to work and the engine light came on again. however it goes off when stopped at a red light.

went to autozone for a scan. scanner wouldnt read. it was one of those hand held ones. the guy said it was because it was an obd2 connecter but obd1 internals. i think hes right. he said i needed to go to a shop where the had the big machines. so i made an appointment at a real mechanic for friday.
