While changing out the rear wheel bearing, it was discovered that with coilovers, you have a tremendous level of room to work, versus the transverse spring :eek
The stubborn, hard to get to torx bolt, no problem :upthumbs

This is the second rear wheel bearing I have bought this year (for two different Vettes though) and they have both been for the passenger side, rear.

May be a good idea to check yours out if you have not done so in awhile - this one literally seperated in two, once the large (retention) nut was removed :eek

Enjoy the long weekend :w

What were the symptoms that caused you to check out the wheel bearing? Any thing give away the problem? Constant noise or something?

There was a noise that could be heard, mostly when passing a building or a stretch of guardrail - it was a whoosh or sqoosh sound like the bearings were rubbing against themselves :eek

when I got it on the liift, you could shake the wheel side to side , while the others had no play...

Hope this helps :m

Sure does....I'll be checking all of mine Monday :)

Thanks again!!
