Cold Air Intake Questions

I am interested in installing a cold air intake on my C6. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of intake is made for the car and where to obtain one? Also does an exposed filter element vs. a shrouded filter element make a difference? Thanks for any replies.

You might try Ligenfelter. They are usually ahead of everybody as far as R&D goes.

Just found an ad for C6 Vortex Rammer cold air intake. I'll see if I cam find a web address.

Dont expect to much from a cold air intake for a C6. The factory design is very good as it is. (Unlike the C4 and C5)

Advertised gains of 30 hp seem very optomistic.

I have a question.....on the c5, c6 the air comes thru the front grill area for cooling and air mixture......when you install a leather bra does this restrict air flow??? which might cause overheating??

Would this be a reason to get a ram air system..to get air from somewhere than the grill area?? And not so much for HP, since it doesn't give you much anyway...

From what I know about the way the bra attaches to a C5, it doesnt obstruct the air flow from under the front of the car, up to the radiator area where the air intake is. I have yet to see a C6 with a bra.
