Color car

I own a 1962 Corvette with two colors on the body. My car is black and white. Why do I see so many one colored 1962 Corvettes in the States?

Before you say anything, ok, I know is is a picture of a 61 corvette. I found the right picture now.

1961 was the last year the Corvette could be ordered with the coves painted in a contrasting color; hence, the 1962 was one color.

62 Paint

Hi! Peter

The 61 was the last year for the cove paint "option" and the cove stainless trim. Some one must have painted your coves at a later date. I have a 61 that was originally Sateen Silver and the coves were not painted. The second owner painted it Jewel Blue with white coves.
